FAQ

What is the cost to be on the Swim Team?

2024 Costs: (T-shirt is included with swimmer's registration)

  • Registration Fee is $150 per swimmer
  • $130 for 2nd swimmer
  • $110 for 3rd swimmer
  • $90 for each additional swimmer
  • Registration Fee for swimmers ages 15-18 is $60
  • Each swimmer will also need to purchase a Team swimsuit for the current year (approximately $35), a silicone team cap with Fulbrook Force logo (approximately $12), and goggles (any).

How old does my swimmer have to be

Swimmers must be between the ages of 4 years and 18 years as of May 1st of the current year.

What other requirements does my swimmer need?

Swimmers must be able to swim the entire length of the pool unassisted.  We understand this limits the children that can participate, but we must ensure our guidelines coincide with those of WHALe.

When do practices start?

Practices usually start the last week of April or the first week of May of the current year (season).  Dates are usually posted and emailed once we have a more definite date - after WHALe authorizes practice start dates.

When are the meets held?

Meets usually begin the last weekend of May and are held throughout the month of June.  Dates and times will be posted on our website after we receive the schedule that will be approved by WHALe.  The League strives to send out Swim Meet dates to teams as early as possible.

How can I watch my swimmer and volunteer at the same time?

At least one parent or family member should serve volunteer hours at each meet. You may find someone to fulfill your volunteer role while you watch your child swim, just remember it is your responsibility.

What if it rains?

FORCE Swim Practices and Meets continue as scheduled during rainy weather so please prepare your swimmer.  Always bring rain gear to meets when rain is in the forecast.  For the safety of all swimmers and coaches, the pool will be cleared for 30 minutes at the first clap of thunder.  The coaches will decide whether to continue the practice/meet based on the time remaining and the weather forecast. In the event that practices/meets are affected, the team will notify families via the Remind app (@fulbrook) initially as this is the quickest form of communication. Please be prepared to pick up your swimmer early from practice or have a carpool plan in stormy weather.

Meets that are stopped due to stormy weather before completion of breaststroke- and unable to resume - will be rescheduled. After completing breaststroke, meets may be rescheduled or considered complete - the league representatives of both teams will meet and make the call.

Will there be concessions at the meets and will dinner be available?

Yes, most teams have their own concessions stand. Snacks, candy, drinks, and water are usually available.  A dinner item is usually available for sale so that parents don't need to worry about picking up dinner.  Parents will be notified at least 3 days prior to the meet of what will be available to purchase for dinner.
